We are pleased to announce the official launch of a Google Arts & Culture online exhibit, titled “Critical Metals: The Chemistry of Light”, part 1 of 2 online exhibits planned about the role of critical metals in human history and technology development.  The exhibit was developed by Science History Institute curator, Roger Turner, in consultation with CSSM members, Leighton Jones (Northwestern University), Jessica Anna, Ranadeb Ball, Marta Guron, and Eric Schelter (University of Pennsylvania).  We invite you to take a journey through the history of light from the discovery of phosphors to incandescent and fluorescent lighting up through the future of how we can use rare earth metals in lasers to aid in metals separations studies!  Click here to dive in.
